Over at Adam's blog, there is a conversation going on over a many of things. After all is said and done, I hope that God will have been glorified by the whole thing, but I can't help but think what if it won't? I am reminded of the the words Jesus spoke in Matthew 23:37-39, "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate. For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."
"Look, your house is left to you desolate." Powerful words, especially today. If we could just cling to these words and earnestly seek to reconcile our differences, for the sake of the Gospel, so that we may reach those who have yet to be reconciled to God.
"Your will be done, on Earth, as it is in Heaven."
