Listening...

"Everyone who is of the truth listens to my voice." - John 18:37

What does this word "listen" mean here? It is more than hearing, it is following. This is more than a cognitive understanding, its a deeper grasping of truth. I've been noticing lately that I don't listen all too well. How does one, when wanting to listen, go about working towards that? What stirs my soul towards God, what makes me groan and yearn for Him? If I can answer that, I think that will be a crucial first step to regaining that listening ear.

DMB in Polk County...

I found out that Dave Matthews Band preformed a private show in Polk City at Fantasy of Flight on April 1st. The private party was celebrating Outback Steakhouse's 20th Anniversary. Anyways, I'm a little upset that I missed it, but oh well. I'm just impressed that they came to lowly Polk County. Also, the Obama concert went apparently well.

Dana Carvey...

And here's yet another reason why. Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds to perform a special show just in support of Barack Obama at Indiana University this Sunday. WOW! I wish I could be there, I'm sure it will be awesome, those two always are.
